ABOUT TONAL WORKS


Tonal works are developed as quiet, two-dimensional fields, composed through tone, surface, and restraint.

Rather than relying on form or physical depth, each work explores subtle variation within a single colour family. Overlapping architectural lines create gentle shifts in tone, allowing new shapes and negative space to emerge slowly across the surface.

The intention is not visual dominance, but stillness - a presence that settles into a space, offering continuity, calm, and quiet focus over time.

Each tonal work is created slowly by hand using the same considered materials and finishes as my wall sculptures.

The surface is refined through a restrained, tactile process, allowing subtle variation and softness to remain visible rather than concealed.

Though flat in form, each work carries the quiet record of its making - human, intentional, and calm.

Tonal works are available in a curated palette of neutral tones, selected to integrate quietly within a range of interior environments.
